Privacy Policy

Overview

PerxNow is a personal finance tool that helps you track credit card benefits and credits. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Data We Collect

• Account information: Your name and email address, provided via Google Sign-In.
• Credit card information: Card issuer, display name, and last four digits of card numbers you choose to add.
• Transaction data: Transaction descriptions and amounts from your linked financial accounts, used solely to identify and track benefit credits.
• Benefit usage: Records of which card credits you have used or redeemed.
• Household data: Names of household members you invite to share card tracking.

We do not collect or store your bank login credentials, full account numbers, or Social Security numbers.

How We Use Your Data

• To identify and track credit card benefit credits in your transaction history.
• To calculate how much of each card benefit you have used or have remaining.
• To alert you when benefits are expiring soon.
• To enable household members to view shared card benefits.

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except as described below.

Third-Party Services

• Clerk — handles authentication and identity management. Your Google account credentials are managed by Clerk and Google, not PerxNow.
• Convex — provides database and backend infrastructure. Your data is stored in Convex's managed cloud, encrypted at rest.
• Plaid — provides secure access to your financial transaction data. Plaid does not share your banking credentials with PerxNow.
• Vercel — hosts the application frontend. All traffic is encrypted in transit via TLS.

Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data, card records, and transaction history will be permanently deleted within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregate usage data may be retained for product improvement purposes.

Your Rights

• Access: You can view all your data within the app at any time.
• Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing privacy@perxnow.app. We will process your request within 30 days.
• Portability: You may request an export of your data by contacting us at the email above.
• Correction: You can update your name and household information directly in the app settings.

Security

All data is transmitted over TLS 1.2 or higher. Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256 via Convex's managed infrastructure. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel only.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of PerxNow after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
